Dog Vests

Your dog will hunt until they're bleeding and not tell you. That's the problem. One encounter with old barb wire or a morning in frozen CRP grass can end your trip early—or worse. A $50 vest is cheap insurance. The debate isn't whether to use one, it's finding one that protects without causing chafing that's just as bad.

What Separates Good from Great

Armpit fit that doesn't chafe

This is the #1 complaint. Every dog is shaped differently. The best vests have multiple adjustment points or offer custom fitting.

Protection that covers the belly

Chest-only skid plates miss the tender underside where dogs get torn up in stubble and frozen grass. Full coverage matters.

Breathability for warm days

Neoprene holds heat. Save it for December. Early season needs lightweight cordura that won't overheat your dog.
